62nd African Women’s Day : Out of 291 recommandations made to the State of Cameroon by CHRC, 220 were accepted on 3 April, 2024

Theme is : Women at the Center of the strenghtening training, technology and innovation for inclusive and sustainable education in Africa.

In awareness visuals of the Statement by CAMEROON HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION (CHRC), we can read that Human Rights Commission Welcomed the response from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Minas) which confirmed in its lettre No 17/313/L/MINAS/SG/DPPHPA/PFG dated 6 march 2024, assurés the CHRC that its relevant services have taken into account the recommandation to enhance training and capacity building for inspectors and officials to enable them to identify appropriate indictors for measuring efforts to combat economic violence against Women.

Also, the Commission notes that out the two hundred ninety-one (291) recommandations made to the State of Cameroon following its fourth Universal Periodic Review, two hundred twenty (220) recommandations were accepted on April 3, 2024. Among them, forty-one (41) were related to women’s Rights and the fight against gender-based violence, including 6 that address equal access for women education and continuous training.
