U.S. Embassy Presents ‘America in 3 Days’ Outreach Event in Douala
Yaoundé, Cameroon—We are thrilled to announce “America in 3 Days,” an engaging outreach event designed to provide valuable insights into the resources and opportunities of the U.S.
Embassy in Cameroon. The event is scheduled from April 17th to April 19th, 2024, at Institut
Universitaire de la Côte – Logbessou, Douala.
“America in 3 Days” seeks to offer faculty, students, parents, and the general public an in-depth understanding of U.S. Government-funded academic and professional exchange programs, library and digital resources, grant opportunities, and the process of studying in the United states, including applying for student visas.
The three-day program features a diverse range of activities designed to cater to various interests such as creating partnerships with American universities, hosting a Fulbright Specialist or Fulbright Scholar. Highlights include an opening ceremony chaired by the President of InstitutUniversitaire de la Côte alongside the U.S. Embassy Branch Office Director, presentations on U.S. government-funded resources and programs, soft skills training sessions, and American culture games and prizes.
This event is open to the public, with a particular focus on students, lecturers, parents, university graduates, NGO leaders, and civil society organizations. Participation in “America in 3 Days” is entirely free of charge. Participants are welcome to choose the sessions they wish to attend.
